Skillet Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This was not bad at all. I don't eat a lot of red meat so I substituted it with ground turkey and the only other change I made was to use spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce (I think it gives it a better taste). I had a bit of trouble keeping it together but it still came out tasting good. My family still enjoyed it. Thanks.

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
We love Coconut Chicken Curry! But this was lacking in flavor..I did add red pepper flakes, 1 jalapeno, 1 T. brown sugar, and 2 small potatoes. But something was missing. I will try a different curry next time.

Awesome Korean Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
I made this with the exact ingredients and measurments as the original recipe posted. Normally I end up tweaking something here or there. The only thing I did change was not cutting the chuck eye's in little strips. I left them whole and put them in a ziplock freezer bag with the marinade at 10pm the night before, Then the next day at 6pm, we grilled the steaks. The flavor was awesome! Even my picky teenage daughter who swore off steak loved it. We decided for us that chuck eye's were a bit on the fatty side for us, Next time I will use petite sirloin. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Brandy Flamed Peppercorn Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Awesome. Simply awesome. I cooked the steak as directed until they were as desired (medium), did the brandy trick, then removed steaks and continued from there, instead of removing later. The one gripe I have: all the comments about 3 foot high flames. What proof and how much extra brandy are you using?? There is no *poof* and maybe a 4 inch flame. I got my buddy to come check out what I was doing, only to sorely disappoint him with lame pyrotechnics. You guys sure you didn't mistakenly drink all your brandy and drunkenly add grain alcohol as a substitute???

London Broil II

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This was an excellent marinade. Although I do believe it's called London BROIL for a reason, you broil it not grill it. I read someone's review about the difference between flank steak and LB and I totally agree, they are NOT the same type of meat cuts. Anyway I let it marinate overnight and then BROILED it one both sides, just till the meat is slightly pink in the middle. It turned out sooo good and tender. You must watch your meat because if you don't, it's real easy to ruin it and it will come out tough and chewy. Anyway, I still give it five stars for the great tasting marinade. Thank God I know how to cook :-)

Peach Cobbler III

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This was pretty good and very easy. It was my first time making peach cobbler and although it's not the best I've tasted, I'll probably make it again and top it off with some vanilla ice cream. I followed everything to a tee, maybe next time I'll try pre-prepared peach filling.

Mom's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This was fabulous! I loved the sweet creamy dressing and the cucumber and dill flavors all went so well together. I didn't use any onion, but I can see how it might be a good addition (at least the powder). However, this was fantastic just as it is. I used light mayonnaise. Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm, I loved this salad! Thanks so much for a keeper!

Tangy Cucumber and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This had a nice mexican flavor to it that I enjoyed. It really accented the sweetness of the avocados, but for me the cucumber just didn't work with the avocado and cilantro. This was tangy and I liked that too. Overall, it's just not my cup of tea as they say. Thanks anyway!
